Beaconhurst School

Parent / Teacher Association

Beaconhurst PTA is made up of a committee of around 15 parents and teaching staff who meet up in the school Dining Hall twice each term. It aims to provide a framework of support between parents and staff of the school to encourage communication and discussion, provide social activities, and to support the curricular and non-curricular activities in the school. Fund raising is another part of the PTA’s remit with the money raised being passed on to the school to purchase equipment which the teachers feel will give additional enjoyment to play and learning for all pupils.

The PTA also co-ordinates Class Link Parents. Each class from Nursery through to S6 has a Class Link Parent who will act as a liaison between the class and the PTA. This person is responsible for collecting and distributing class social lists and also for conveying information on all PTA activities and events.

The dates of PTA meetings are listed on the school calendar. I would like to extend a welcome to all parents, old and new to join us – we are always keen to have fresh ideas and thoughts!  If you would like any other information on PTA or Class Link Parent matters, please contact me on email address, anniemagarry@hotmail.com.
