Headmaster's Welcome
The school I took over as Headmaster in 2005 is very different from the one my predecessor came to some twenty years earlier. Then Beaconhurst was a small prep school of one hundred and twenty pupils; now it is a thriving all-through school with a roll of around four hundred and up to date facilities to cater for pupils aged from three to eighteen.
Yet throughout this period of change the school has remained true to its core values: recognising and developing the talents and abilities of each individual; creating a community where friendliness and mutual respect are encouraged and providing the educational and social conditions for each to thrive and achieve their potential. We are proud of the achievements of Beaconhurst as a school, but even more proud of the achievements of our pupils; both in the contribution they make whilst they are here and in the qualifications and skills they leave with.
Our website aims to provide information about the school and an introduction to what Beaconhurst has to offer. However, I would be delighted to show you around in person, giving the opportunity to meet our staff and pupils. If you are considering Beaconhurst for your child, please do not hesitate to get in touch – we look forward to welcoming you.
